The night started out with an exploration of the premises. The house the party was hosted at was absolutely breathtaking, and a unique architectural design left many in awe. A large swing in the yard was a significant feature earlier in the evening.  Later, we migrated inside to enjoy some of the snacks and food others had brought and held a Super Smash Bros tournament in the large central room of the house. Later, a hide-and-seek game utilized the large yard space, which went on for quite a while, with some pretty odd hiding spots being hard to find, such as a drain culvert. A major point of interest was the arcade/bar area, where we partook in (non-alcoholic) sodas and juices while playing retro arcade games and pool. A brief recess from activities was taken to celebrate the turning of the clocks to 2025, where with numerous “bang snaps”, noisemakers, and party horns, we made enough noise to declare that it was, indeed, 2025. The rest of the night was dedicated to an iron chef competition where three teams competed to make the best food with limited ingredients and a time constraint. The competition ended up going late into the night, and many people fell asleep before it concluded. Overall, the party was great, with many activities and an interesting setting.
