Fun Facts
We were founded in 1999 and are one of the oldest continually running Venture Crews in the country.
The first four people to earn the Ranger Award in the Western Region were from Crew 27.
The artwork for the official Crew T-shirt was drawn by a crew member, Lance Bailey.
Mr. Bear has appeared in every Treasure Hunt video made.
Venture Crew 27 has only had four advisors in over 20 years:

Our Wild Travels
The very first outing was the National Ski Patrol’s Basic Mountain Travel and Rescue course.
Since the beginning one of our favorite activities has been whitewater rafting. Favorite location near us – South Fork of the American River.
Our Super Trips have taken us to nine states, six foreign countries and three continents.
The crew has gone twice to Nordjamb, an International Jamboree held in Iceland.
We have camped with peacocks, kissed giraffes, and fed rock wallabies and kangaroos.
